In its constant research for contemporary elegance, Valdichienti has launched a new collaboration with one of the most prestigious creators in the area of design.

 
Karim Rashid is an extraordinarily fertile and original designer, whose work can be seen everywhere, in both indoor and outdoor environments of urban contemporary space, as well as in galleries and museums the world over.

Year after year, he is the recipient of the most sought after international awards, including the Red Dot award, the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design award, I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review, IDSA Industrial Design Excellence award.

This new project by Karim Rashid represents an ideal expression of Valdichienti aesthetics and excellence: unrivalled comfort featuring rounded and curving lines, elements of a playful vitality original in their chromatic palette, ahead of trends and irresistibly lively, enriched by outside stitching.

The collection is based on three pivotal elements – bed, sofa and pouf.
The bed designed by Rashid is meant as an island of repose – referencing its circularity in the rounded headrest, its variety in colours, its floating feeling in an almost seaside comfort.

The sofa embodies to perfection the double nature of this element – a space both social and private. Modular in configuration and colour, it changes and transforms according to your needs. The upholstery is crossed and emphasized by stitching, the handcrafted ‘signature’ of a true artist.

 
The pouf is a unique and especially prestigious element, in both its tradition and vocation. It will take centre stage in any living space, of infinite variety thanks to the innumerable variations of its leaf-shaped modules, affording seating and views turned both inward and outward, as per the Middle Eastern tradition of the ottoman. In Rashid’s vision, the ottoman offers a space for meditation – for philosophy, for conversation, for the contemplation of beauty.
